I've got a beautiful, talented, wonderful, creative, inquisitive, brilliant seven-year-old for a son. But in the past two
weeks, he has decided to drive me insane by moving as slow as humanly
possible. He has pointed out a new pet peeve of mine.
In everything he does, he is slow. It literally took him 20 minutes to pick up the trash around the house and we don't live in a mansion and there's only 8 trashcans in the house. How slow is Jory you ask....if there was a competition between Jory and my grandma to vacuum the floor or write his spelling words, my grandma would not only win but she would have time to walk back to Georgia and get back in the coffin she's been in since May of 1991 and Jory might just have finished vacuuming or just finished writing a spelling word.
I love this boy to death, but yikes! I've tried reasoning, talks, punishments, rewards. Nothing seems to be getting through.
