“Mommy, can you take me to the carshop when I get older?”
Rowan asked.
“The carshop? Why
would you need to get your car repaired?” I questioned, this was a bizarre
request. Wait. “Do you mean a car dealership so you can buy
a car?”
“Yes,” she said.
“Me, too,” the baby piped in.
“Yes, I can take you both.”
“And can you take us to the phoneshop?” the eldest Irish
twin asked.
“Yes, can you take us to the phoneshop?” the younger
Irish twin repeated.
“Yes, I can take you to the store to buy phones when you
become adults.”
They both smiled, their beautiful smiles at me.
Adulthood includes having cell phones and cars and you
get them by having your mommy drive you to get them. An interesting look at adulthood.
