Praise God

for His having our backs on the little things and the big things.

For the last week or so, my mom has been asking where this new bottle of lotion was.  I asked if she had looked in the usual spots, Jory's room, the kids' bathroom, her bathroom, those are the places Jory puts things that he deems his.  But the lotion was in none of those places.

I checked to make sure it didn't accidentally dropped behind something in the bathroom or if the girls had it in their room or hidden in my room, but nope.  This lotion was nowhere to be found.

Yesterday, I saw my mother with the lotion.

"Where did you find it?" I asked.

"In Jory's suitcase.  It's a good thing I found it or it would have opened and you would have been buying all new clothes for him in Atlanta," she answered.

Crap, she's right.  Thank you, Jesus, for caring about the little things and for not wanting me to spend vacation time shopping for clothes as soon as we hit town or wanting me to pay full price for shorts in the middle of the summer.  Thank you!

Now, I think I better open those suitcases and see what else Jory might have added to his suitcase.
