Don't talk to strangers

We were driving down the street when I catch the baby waving at someone, then she said, “Hi!”

“Baby, don’t talk to strangers,” Rowan lectured.  “Right Mommy?”

I was noncommittal.  Saying hi to strangers or waving to them from the car, not so bad.

“Baby, you can’t talk to strangers because they will kidnap you or eat you,” Rowan informed her sister.

Eat you?  Eat you?  Have we been reading Hansel and Gretel and I’ve forgotten?  I thought about saying something, but I let it slide.  They will eat you?  Interesting.
